Service Plans.
Service Plans Overview
DZS Service Programs provide priority access to skilled hardware and software expertise to resolve customer issues. These Service Programs provide real-time access to DZS’s Technical Support through electronic delivery systems or directly with a team of technical experts – a team with substantial experience in providing remote technical support for some of the industry’s largest Access Networks.
DZS does not offer extended support contracts for grey market equipment. If DZS determines that an item was purchased via the grey market, the support contract may be subject to immediate termination without refund.
Conditions
- DZS reserves the right to charge for services outside the scope of Technical Service Program, including third-party devices not provided by DZS.
- Software support is offered for the current and one preceding SW stream only.
- Hardware repair or replacement is provided on a like for like basis.
- DZS will ship repaired/replacement products to a designated location at its expense.
- Customer shall be responsible for any requested premium transportation and customs/taxes/duties
- Customer shall be responsible for charges to return defective products to DZS.
- For advance replacement service, Customer shall return the failed product to DZS within 30 days and shall assume risk of loss/damage during the shipment and shall pay all transportation charges.
- If the failed unit is not returned to DZS within 30 days, or if the failed unit has been subjected to misuse, abuse, or unusual hazard or disaster, customer shall purchase the replacement product at customers then current pricing.
- All amounts are due within 30 days of invoice.
Professional Services.
Professional services offerings are designed to help our customers rapidly deploy, scale and optimize their broadband networks for agility and reliability. These offerings can accelerate the turn-up of new services, as well as provide product and technology knowledge transfer. DZS professional services projects can range from equipment provisioning in a central office or remote cabinet, up to a complete onsite network roll out with professional project management.
Quick Start – Remote 4-hour Sessions
This is a four-hour block of remote commissioning and knowledge transfer. This service is designed to give customers an option to rapidly turn-up new environments or scale existing networks. Lead by a certified DZS expert, participants of the quick start are actively involved in the provisioning process, and they can get clarification and best practices input via answers to their questions. The result is increased confidence and decreased time to service. A typical session would involve commissioning the core network and turning up one ONT or CPE device. Multiple 4-hour sessions can be purchased depending on the size of the environment (e.g. one 8-hour session). Scope of work/training to be provided by end-user before the start of session, subject to pre-approval by DZS.
Onsite Services – 2-day Commissioning
This is a two day on site offering that optimized for MXK / MXK-F hardware and ZMS software commissioning and knowledge transfer session. This program is designed to offer a customers in depth, in person collaboration with a certified DZS expert to rapidly turn-up new services. The operations team is encouraged to participate and ask questions so they operate and scale the network into the future. Scope of work/training to be provided by end-user before the start of session, subject to pre-approval by DZS. Options available for longer term projects and on-site assistance.
Remote Upgrades – Software & Health Check
This remote service assists operators with software upgrades for their environment. Typically scheduled off-hours or during a maintenance window, a certified DZS expert performs a comprehensive health check, and ensures the network is upgraded while maintaining up-time.
Health Check – Network Optimization
During our health check service, a certified expert from DZS’s support team will remotely log into your network and confirm the health of all DZS software and hardware. GSS engineers will ensure configurations and parameters are optimally set, will diagnose and clear alarms, and will examine logs to look for potential hidden problems or opportunities to optimize your network.
Project Management – Expert Execution
DZS’s Professional Services installation and project management team will help your company with all your installation project needs. Let our experts plan, manage, and execute the delivery, installation and commissioning of your new network node deployments. These projects can range from installing equipment in a central office or remote cabinet, ZMS turn up, commissioning and onsite training. Our team has years of experience with DZS products and are experts in making the process as seamless as possible. Pricing is quoted based on Scope of Work requirements.

DZS consulting services include Best Practices workshops for telecommunication networks, and expertise for network operators to equip them with actionable insights and answers to questions.
